Written in 2017 during one of the most visible organized caravans of asylum seekers and the displaced from Central America. This song is an ode to my kin, networks, and the many who take on the precarious journeys of survival. We are not migrants because our condition is of displaced people, displaced by ongoing settler coloniality, US interventionism, and the violence of neoliberal capitalism. Jungles that migrate is also in recognition to the eco-terror of that capitalism, a resistance through flora and fauna to survive across landscapes and geographies, replenishing solidarities and lands in places anew.
